More than a year since the SARS-CoV-2 – a highly infectious and deadly respiratory virus was first identified in Wuhan City, China. It was later known as we all know now as the COVID-19. A few months later, it was declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization on the 11th day of March 2020.

Various businesses and companies have decided to shut down operations for the time being; students are forced to resume studying at home, travel bans and quarantine measures have been established to mitigate the spread of the virus.

However, there seems to be no halt on the effects of the highly infectious contagion as the death toll and infection numbers are still on the rise. Many are questioning when the pandemic will finally be over, but there is no definite answer to the question, even with the continuous administering of the Covid-19 test.

The good news is, testing does help in the effort of flattening the surging epidemic curve. In truth, administering a pcr test to essential workers and citizens is an excellent strategy in protecting people and mitigating the virus’s rapid spread.

As part of the effort, airlines and various countries require passengers to take a fit to fly covid test before allowing them to travel.

After taking a fit to fly covid test, travelers will then receive a certificate to prove they are eligible to fly and travel. The requirement for certification may depend upon the destination and countries.

With today’s situation, the pandemic is still far from being over. The elimination of the pandemic may depend on the practical and safe vaccine for the coronavirus and continuously following social protocols strictly.

According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention or CDC, evidence has shown that fully vaccinated people are less likely to be infected and can ensure that the virus is less likely to spread.
